CSC’s secure, web-based electronic recording (eRecording) solution allows document submitters—including title companies, law firms, financial institutions, and others— to electronically submit and record real estate documents with county recording offices throughout the U.S. We offer a variety of solutions to meet our clients’ needs, including Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 eRecording.
Level 1 eRecording
Level 1 eRecording is the simplest method for electronic document recording, and is an electronic extension of the traditional paper-based recording process. The submitter scans and uploads the finished document into our system, and then an electronic image is transmitted through CSC to the recording office.
Level 2 eRecording
Level 2 eRecording also begins with a traditional paper document that is signed off by the parties and notarized. Again, an image file is transmitted to CSC. Then a data file with the information necessary for indexing the record is created, giving the recording office options for processing the submission, including importing the image and data file directly into the searchable index, or manually reviewing the files before releasing them into the searchable index.
Level 3 eRecording
Level 3 eRecording enables submitters—including banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions—to electronically prepare, execute, and submit documents to counties for recording with our paperless solution. Once recorded, data and documents are transmitted back to the submitter’s account via eRecord, CSC then processes payment of recording fees. Best of all, eRecord is simple to use. Just input or import your data to create an electronic satisfaction of mortgage or assignment of mortgage.
