Register of Deeds Offices in Racine and Washington Counties, Wisconsin, Initiate Electronic Document Recording (cont.)

3/3/2003 12:00:00 AM

Ingeo's electronic recording application, eRecord, is completely integrated with the county's current backend system, LRMS from TriMin Systems. To facilitate integration, an XML-based integration plan was created. Rather than integrating code or sharing a common database, document data is updated by passing an XML file back and forth between the two systems. The integration of these two solutions was completed without actually sharing proprietary information. "Completing this integration with Ingeo opens the door for all our clients to benefit from total electronic document recording, using the best of what this new and exciting technology has to offer today. We anticipate that many of our clients will be interested in this integrated solution," said Bill Mori, vice president at TriMin Systems. The register of deeds offices invited Associated Bank and Educators Credit Union to participate in submitting electronic mortgage satisfactions. Each document submitted was prepared using Ingeo's ePrepare web-based service. The documents were digitally signed and notarized and then transferred electronically to the respective county's server hosting Ingeo's eRecord application, completing the recording process and returning recorded documents electronically to the submitting party. "The benefit of being able to access legally recorded documents within a few minutes is an enormous benefit to our customers," says Eileen Flugaur, supervisor of Associated Bank's pay-off department. "We see this innovative process having a very positive impact on our ability to provide improved services to our customers," said Jim Henderson, senior vice president at Educators Credit Union. The successful installation of Ingeo's Electronic Recording System in Washington and Racine counties marks many firsts for Ingeo. It is the first successful project completing two simultaneous but separate installations with one project team. Additionally, it was the first integration with TriMin Systems on an IBM iSeries computer platform. "Our product's flexibility has been proven with the completion of this project," said Todd Hougaard, Ingeo's president and innovator of Ingeo's electronic recording solution. "The future of electronic recording is a proven reality and I'm very excited about the near future technology innovations Ingeo will offer to the industry."
